The Online Meeting Platforms

As the epidemic continues, working from home is becoming more common. When unable to meet your colleagues in your office space, what to do?!

This article provides four options for digital meeting platforms:

1. ZOOM

The interface is simple and instructions are also clear.

However, even if the interface is simple, the functions are sufficient for general meetings! In the free version, the maximum number of people is 10, which is quite suitable for small companies. In addition, there is no need for everyone to register and download the software. One person can open the conference room, and others can use the computer or mobile phone to participate through the provided link.

In addition, Zoom also has the most needed functions for video conferences such as whiteboards, shared screens, and videos. The only major limitation is that if you choose the free Basic plan, a conference can only be opened for 40 minutes. (At present, due to the impact of the epidemic, the school unit can apply for an account with no time limit free of charge, click here to refer to the application)

2. HANGOUTS

It is a well-known Google built-in function that can be used as long as you have a Google account. In an era where almost everyone has gmail, Google Hangouts is convenient for any person who don’t want to download any new gadgets. It supports features such as meeting content archiving, screen sharing, and linking to Google Cloud. If you want to call up a document discussion on the Google Cloud during the meeting, you can directly complete it in the toolbar of the same window. If the company is used to backing up files to the Google cloud, Hangouts will work very well. If you are a G Suite user, before July this year, the maximum number of Hangouts can be up to 250 people participating in the meeting at the same time, and it is free; live broadcast can reach 100,000 people to watch.

3. MICROSOFT TEAMS

If you and your colleagues both use Microsoft systems, Teams should be very convenient for you. In addition to the basic functions of audio, video, and screen sharing, Teams combines Microsoft cloud functions. All files and data in the chat process can be directly backed up to OneDrive. However, if it is a free version, there is a file size limit. The file cannot exceed 2GB, the upper limit of the entire team is 10GB, and the maximum number of people is 300. If you want a higher specification, you are required to pay. Teams also has some cool features, such as "subject posting"-things in different projects can be divided into discussions, so that information does not disturb each other; you can also let colleagues control your screen remotely, this function can come in handy when encountering some situations that require explanation and teaching.

4. WEBEX MEETINGS Webex Meetings does not need to install an application, as long as a plug-in is installed, a video conference can be opened for free through the webpage. The free version has a maximum number of 100 people. If paid, up to 3000 people can hold a meeting at the same time. And the meeting interface is very intuitive, and it is clear how to open the meeting, invite participants, share screen and other functions.

If you have already started working from home the above four video conferencing software are very useful tools. Depending on your company's size and meeting habits, it can choose from those 4 digital meeting platforms.
